Megan & Will’s wedding plans were rearranged a number of times due to coronavirus, eventually leaving the two with the decision to throw traditional plans out the window and have an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family at San Luis Obispo’s Marfarm.
The girls began the day getting ready at Megan’s childhood home and enjoyed a morning of relaxation in their matching pink floral robes. Will and his guys got ready in the barn at Marfarm, their morning quickly evolving into a whiskey-infused 90s country dance party. Before seeing each other, Megan shared a sweet first look and intimate moment with her parents, while Will took some time to pray with his mother and hear some last minute advice from his father.
Megan & Will’s first look outside Marfarm’s modern farmhouse was full of emotion, the two were so excited to see each other for the first time. After taking some time to hang out together and with their bridal party, the whole group headed off to Mission San Luis Obispo, where the two were married under the arbor in the courtyard.
Following the ceremony, Megan, Will, and their bridal party made their way to Creeky Tiki for a quick drink. In the exact spot in the bar where Megan & Will met, they shared a dance with each other and reminisced on that fateful first evening.
Once everyone was hydrated, the group headed back to Marfarm for cocktails, appetizers, and dancing. Neutral, rustic details tied into Megan & Will’s custom cattle brand logo and little patriotic hints throughout the barn. Their lab, Anthem, was in attendance and was definitely the guest of honor. Copper & Crystal kept the party rocking, while SLO Brew passed out appetizers as the night began. Guests headed to a rustic farmhouse table in Marfarm’s stables for an intimate dinner, complete with emotional toasts from the Best Man & Maid of Honor. Both Megan & Will’s parents toasted the two before joining in their respective father-daughter and mother-son dances. Megan’s dad even introduced Will to the human surfboard trick.
As the sun set over Marfarm and the rest of the Edna Valley, Megan and Will escaped for some golden hour photos and to share some time together in the surrounding vineyards. Their day may have been different from what they had planned, but COVID sure couldn’t stop the epic party that was Megan & Will’s wedding day.
